A traditional service with hymns and communion
A vibrant service for everyone with children's groups, lively worship and Bible teaching
What to expect
Everyone is welcome at St Thomas’, whether you have been going to church for years or are just checking out who Jesus is. Just come as you are! Expect a great welcome, lots of lively worship, teaching from the Bible and a real feeling of family as we celebrate the family meal: communion. People of all ages gather at St Thomas’ so expect lots of students, children, young people and young adults.
Every time we meet on a Sunday there will be a chance for you to discover more about the life of the church and find out ways to get involved.
How to find us
St Thomas’ could not be easier to find. We are located right in the heart of Newcastle at the top of the main shopping street, Northumberland Street, and right between the two universities and the civic centre.
St Thomas’ is next door to the Haymarket Metro and bus station and is a short walk from Jesmond, Sandyford and Heaton.
If you are driving to St Thomas’ then you can find loads of car parks in the city centre just a few minutes walk from us, and some of them are free on a Sunday and free on a weekday after 5pm.
You can see all the car parks in the city centre on an interactive map here.
This is a Spotify playlist of the songs we use at our 4pm service. We will continue to add songs to this playlist as we use them in our services. Feel free to have a listen!
