Testimonies (10 mins)
Have there been any testimonies from someone in your group recently that would be great to share with the wider church? Please ask your group and then get in touch with Luke to chat about how we might share these stories. Feel free to film it on your phone or ask the person to write the testimony out so that it could be used in a blog.

What did you feel challenged by from the sermon on Sunday?
How is the Bible different to other texts? (v45) How should this change the way to read it?
Brogan described reading the Bible as putting logs out ready to be lit by the fire of the Holy Spirit. We need both fire and fuel! How is your Bible reading going?
Jesus command was not to be eloquent, or to wait until were morally perfect, but to depend on the power of God (v49). What do you do in your day/week to demonstrate this?
What is the significance of the temple being mentioned in v53, and how does that relate to the ascension?
Prayer
Response (10 mins)
What is stopping you from reading your bible on a daily basis and is there something you can do about it?
What is stopping you from being empowered and what truth do you need to speak into each others’ lives this week?
Prayer (20 mins)
Use the prayer in Ephesians 1:15-23 to pray for one another:
15 “For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”
