Our Sunday gatherings are informal and full of energy, and everyone is welcome to come along. We have two services each Sunday in term time - 10:30am and 6:30pm, with our morning service being livestreamed to YouTube and Facebook. Whether you come along in the morning or the evening, you can expect an extended time of worship led by a band, a talk rooted in the truth of the Bible, sharing of the sacraments and an opportunity to pray with others. We love children and young people at St Thomas’ - we have children’s and youth groups that meet during our morning service. We build community and friendships with one another over tea and coffee after our services.
Every Wednesday at 12:30pm we have our Midweek Service - a simple service of worship, prayer and communion, lasting half an hour. We’d love to see you there!

St Thomas’ couldn’t be easier to find! We are right in the centre of Newcastle, next to Haymarket metro station and at the top of the busy Northumberland Street - a stone’s throw from both universities!

There is no on-site parking at St Thomas’, however there are lots of car parks in and around the city centre, only a few minutes walk away. Check out the council website below to see the parking options.

Our Sunday youth & kids groups meet during our 10:30am service. We have three groups: Pre-School, Reception-Year 4 and Years 5-9. Each of these groups are led by a team that provide fun and engaging Bible activities every Sunday.
We encourage those in Year 10 and above to stay in the main service. We run Youth Night on a Tuesday evening, which is for Years 7-13.

Here at St Thomas’ we want everyone to belong and join in, including those with additional needs. When you arrive in church the Welcome Team will say hello and you can pick up a pair of ear defenders if it feels too noisy. The main church space is level access and you are able to come in a wheelchair. At the moment we have accessible toilets without a hoist. We also have a lift available to the conference room, and an accessible toilet without a hoist on that level.
Our children’s groups all have time for movement breaks in between activities and stories, and discussions are multi-sensory. Our youth team are especially aware of additional needs pertaining to mental health, and have experience in this regard. At St Thomas’ we use an ‘about me’ form which children, youth, and adults are welcome to fill in to let us know about how we might be able to create a more accessible environment for them. If you would like to speak to our accessibility coordinator ahead of visiting, please contact Brogan below.
