We need you to make church happen

Everything that happens at St Thomas’ is made possible by an incredible team of volunteers. Serving on a team is one of the best ways to meet people, grow in the gifts God has given you, and invest in the life of the church as you put down roots at St Thomas’.

There’s something for everyone, with plenty of opportunities to get involved. Register your interest in joining a team below and we’ll be in touch with more information to help you with the next steps.

Sunday Teams

  • We want to make people feel instantly welcome and part of the family. If you can offer a smile and show someone to their seat, we'd love to have you on team!

  • The best conversations happen over a cup of coffee. If you’d like to join the team making and serving refreshments, get in touch!

  • Do you have a heart to lead people into encounter with Jesus in our times of sung worship? We’re always looking for musicians and enthusiastic sound engineers to get involved in our worship team.

    There will be an audition as part of the worship team application process. Training will also be provided.

  • The media and production team is made up of camera operators, video directors, photographers and graphics operators. Get involved if you have a heart to share what God is doing here beyond our four walls!

    All training will be provided.

  • Join our Sunday Kids and Youth teams to facilitate a space where children of all ages can have fun together, learn from the Bible and meet God by his Spirit.

    Please note: A DBS check will be required to join this team.

  • This is the team of people ready to pray for others during a Sunday service.

    Training is required to join this team.

Midweek Teams

  • Our 18-25s community gather regularly for worship, teaching and prayer, as well as in life groups, at Boys Bible Study and at Girls Night. If you’d like to serve this community in any way, please register your interest to start a conversation.

  • Youth Night is our weekly gathering in church for 11-18s. It's an opportunity for young people to worship, study the Bible and have fun together.

    A DBS check is required to join this team.

  • Tiny T's is our midweek pre-school drop in, which runs on Wednesday mornings during term time. Help us serve parents and carers and their little ones with a space to catch up, have a coffee and play.

  • We open the church doors throughout the week, welcoming members of the public to explore the building and ask questions. We’d love to grow the team so we can continue offering a warm, safe, and open space where people feel free to step inside, take a look around, and explore faith at their own pace.

  • Alpha is a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Get involved with setting up, welcoming guests, hosting discussions, and helping with refreshments.
