Kids

Here at St Thomas’ we welcome all, including the littlest!

We’re passionate about making sure children and young people hear about Jesus Christ and how he changes lives.

We love to resource, equip and encourage children and families to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe it is important to share the love and message of Jesus in fun and creative ways, starting from a young age.

Sundays

During our 10:30am service each Sunday, we run three children’s groups: Pre-School, Reception - Year 4 and Years 5 - 9. Each of these groups are led by a team who provide fun and engaging Bible activities, games and crafts. If you’re joining us for a service, we’d love to welcome your children to the groups! Please make sure you register your children with the kids team before the service starts.

Services

Tiny T’s Baby & Toddler Group

Tiny T's is our midweek pre-school drop in, which runs from 10am - 12pm on Wednesday mornings during term time. This runs alongside an NHS Clinic, which you can find more details on below.

Each week we offer a welcoming and relaxed space for babies and toddlers to play, socialise, enjoy a healthy fruit snack, listen to stories including a short Bible story, and do some colouring. There’s a dedicated baby area with a soft play mat, toys, and books - perfect for the youngest ones. Breastfeeding mums are warmly welcomed, and a microwave is available for heating up baby food or milk. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with other parents and carers at a similar stage of life, with tea, coffee, and cake provided for the grown-ups.
Please note that parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times.

Tiny T's is free and we’d love to see you there. There is no booking required, as it is a drop-in. However, if you have any questions ahead of your visit, please contact Mia Down, our Children & Families Minister, using the button below.

NHS Drop-in Clinic

Alongside Tiny T’s, the NHS runs a clinic in an adjacent room, which is separate to St Thomas’ but hosted in the building. This is booked through the NHS, and they contact parents and carers. However, the first Wednesday of every month is an open drop-in. If you would like your baby weighed, or health-checked, please feel free to come down from 9:15am. Please note, this is only available for those in the Newcastle area.

The Tiny T’s EP

The Tiny T’s EP is a four-track EP of homegrown children’s songs, written by the St Thomas’ team for your little ones to enjoy and use to worship God!
