Song suggestion: Christ Be Magnified

Bible

Read Galatians 6:1-10

Discussion

1. “Family Restores” - Galatians 6:1–2
“Brothers and sisters… restore that person gently… carry each other’s burdens.”
Where are you tempted to move away from someone who is struggling rather than toward them? What would “restoring gently” look like in that relationship this week?

2. “Family Sows” - Galatians 6:7–8
“A person reaps what they sow… whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

If you honestly examine the past month, what have you actually been sowing in your relationships, seeds of the flesh or seeds of the Spirit? What one deliberate seed do you sense the Spirit calling you to plant in the life of the church?

3. “Family Stays” - Galatians 6:9–10
“Let us not become weary in doing good… at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Where in your following of Jesus are you “weary in doing good”? Pray for the Spirit to strengthen your perseverance.

4. “Family Identity” - Galatians 6:10
“Do good… especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Paul assumes the church is a family shaped by the gospel, not just a friendly crowd. What practical step could you take to embody family rather than friendliness, especially toward someone carrying a burden?

Prayer

Pray for a deepening of true gospel family and for the Holy Spirit to help you sow seeds of the Spirit.
