Day 13

David and Goliath. Page 173. 1 Samuel 17.

You might want to briefly tell your children about David’s anointing by Samuel in the previous story. Then read David and Goliath together.

Choose someone to be the giant (Goliath) and someone else to be little David. Goliath should stand up somewhere tall like on the sofa, making strong faces and actions. David should remain on his knees on the floor, looking small and weak. Ask the children which one they think is going to win the battle and why?

Give David 5 pom poms or cotton wool balls to throw at Goliath. Down he goes!

Remember you may be small but you are mighty with God on your side.

Draw 5 stones on a leaf to hang on your prayer tree.
