Sunday 15th November
The parable of the talents teaches us that God is generous and that he asks us to use and look after the gifts and talents he gives us.
Game - Musical Bible Verse
Print out the following bible verses and place in a jar. OR have a bible and the references handy. Play some music and pass the jar or Bible around the people in your household. When the music stops - choose a bible reference and read aloud.
Remember: the bible is God’s gift to us all.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
James 1:17
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Luke 6:38
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
2 Corinthians 9:15
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7

Craft Ideas
Make your own wrapping paper and choose a gift to bless someone with this next week
Draw a picture of yourself and write down all the gifts, talents and things God has given you
Prayers
Create a prayer wall. You might want to use building blocks and each time you add a brick say a ‘thank you’ prayer. Or use scrap pieces of paper to build a wall collage with each piece having a word or drawing of something you are thankful for on.
