The True King. Page 427. Luke 19.

This is the story celebrated on Palm Sunday. Make some palm leaves using big green paper and pipe cleaners, with HOSANNA written on them. Spread your coats down on the floor to make a path and have a Hosanna procession to remember Jesus arriving into Jerusalem on a donkey.

Usually we see Kings riding on valiant horses, but here Jesus is on a donkey! This shows us that he was different to any other king, He was the true King, a King who would give himself up for his people.

Pray together to say thank you for Jesus being our true king.
