Jesus is Baptised. Page 333. John 1.

Read the story of Jesus being baptised by his cousin, John the Baptist.

Baptism is a visual sign to mark the beginning of someone’s journey with God. Water is used as a sign of new life. Anyone baptised has a new life in the Holy Spirit.

Talk about your own baptisms. Perhaps you have Godparents who made promises over you at your baptism. Send them a message of encouragement to say thank you.

We love baptism in our house and it is always a cause for a party! Gather together some toys and have a pretend baptism party! Celebrate the gift of new life that we gain through baptism, by signing each other's forehead with a cross of water.
