Refresh yourselves with the story of Jesus entering the world as a baby. Ask your children what they can remember from the Nativity story. Talk about how this is not just a story to tell at Christmas time. We can praise God for Jesus’ birth all year round.

Cut out people and images from magazines and construct a nativity scene. The magazines you use probably won't be “Christmas themed” yet you will manage to create a familiar stable scene nevertheless - stress the point that Jesus coming to earth is relevant no matter what time of year it is!

Draw a crib on a leaf to hang on your prayer tree.
