Read the story of Joseph together. It’s a long one so you could watch a video clip online if your children only have a short attention span!

Everything looked bleak for Joseph when his brothers sold him as a slave.

Yet this wasn’t the end of the story. God had a good plan.

This is the same for our lives. We may not be able to see it all the time, but God has a powerful plan for us. Get crafty today and make Joseph’s colourful coat using anything you can find. You could draw and colour in, use coloured fabrics, felts, icing on a cake. Big or small, as messy as you like.

Pray this prayer whilst you are crafting.

Dear Lord, Even when Joseph’s life looked bleak, you had a good plan. Thank you that you can bring about good from even bad situations. Help me to trust you! Amen.

Maybe you could tell someone else about this story today and encourage them that God has a good plan.
